Bank

open: 9 a.m., close: 3 p.m. Mon. to Fri. Students can open a regular bank account with a minimum P5000 peso. All the banks in Cebu have ATM machines everywhere and it's easy to use. Students need passports to open an account and Saturdays are not business days.

Government offices don't open on Saturdays and holidays.

Phone and Mail Service

Phone service is very modern and you can call anywhere in the world. There are many public phones and you need 2 pesos to make a local call. Phone card is also available.
Post office is open 9a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. In the area, 4 peso stamp is general and 10 pesos stamps are usual to the U.S.A. or Europe. Many kinds of post cards are available in hotels and writing a zip code is very important to mail a letter.
 
Newspaper and other media

There are 24 different kinds of papers every morning in the Philippines. Also, many papers and magazines are easy to find. Regular T.V. channels are 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 13, and 23 and these are local and American programs. CPILS has cable TV so students can enjoy various channels. Also AM and FM radio stations broadcast in English and Philippine language.
