CPILS is located in the resort city, Cebu, in the Philippines and it takes around 20-25 mins. from the airport. Cebu City is divided by Mactan Island which has the airport and Cebu City. CPILS is in Cebu City and SM mall and Ayala mall are only 10 minutes away.
2. What's the advantages and disadvantages of Cebu ?
A. Advantages
Air
Cebu has relatively cleaner air than other cities in the Philippines especially compared to Manila.
Overcharge
It's not common to get overcharged by taxi drivers in Cebu. If it happens, you can report the driver to the airport. Cebu City puts a lot of effort into getting rid of this behaviour to become a famous resort city.
People are kind
Cebu people are very kind towards foreign people. Cebuanos are very friendly to foreigner compared to other cities and you will be amazed by their kindness and hospitality.
Cebu is safe
Cebu is an international resort city and one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world. So, it is safer than many other regions.
English is widely spoken
Compared to the population of Manila, a high percentage of people enroll in universities and everyone pursues higher education. Average taxi drivers and workers are also capable of speaking good English.
Traveling
People who don't know the Philippines assume that palm trees and beaches are everywhere near cities. If you want to go to a great beach from Manila, you have to spend at least 5 hours in the car driving. However, Cebu has so many beautiful resorts and beaches within 30 mins. distance. And this is the reason why Cebu is popular with honeymoon couples.
Entertainment
Unlike other cities, there are not many places to go to late night in Cebu. So, most of the students can concentrate more on their studying and it's one of the biggest advantages in CPILS.
B. Disadvantages
Night Life
Shopping centers are usually closed at 9 p.m. Also, some people get bored because there is not a lot in terms of night life.
Air fare
Coming from Manila to Cebu and going out of Cebu using international airport will be a little more expensive than Manila.
